Ashirvad is a licensee of Lubrizol, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, who are the inventors and largest manufacturers of CPVC compound in the world. Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CVPC) is a thermoplastic used for hot and cold water lines.

It will not burn unless an external flame source is present and will not sustain ignition once the flame source is removed.It has a high ignition temperature, low toxicity, low heat of combustion and 25/50 flame smoke development rating.
